How do I test an MJPEG stream?

Enter the full HTTP or HTTPS URL of your camera's MJPEG endpoint, for example http://203.0.113.10:8080/video.mjpg. Common paths include /video.mjpg, /mjpg/video.mjpg, and /axis-cgi/mjpg/video.cgi depending on the camera brand. We connect and play about a minute of live video in your browser.

Will MJPEG play in my browser?

MJPEG is a sequence of JPEG images, which browsers can't play inside a standard video player on their own. Our player handles that for you, so the preview plays in any browser and confirms the endpoint is delivering frames.

Why can't the tool reach my camera?

Your camera must be reachable from the internet. Cameras on a private LAN (192.168.x.x or 10.x.x.x addresses) can't be reached by an online tester — use a public IP, DDNS hostname, or port forwarding. If the endpoint needs credentials, include them in the URL: http://user:pass@host/video.mjpg.

Is the stream recorded?
